Every year, thousands of photographers submit stunning photos to the world’s longest running underwater photography contest – UnderwaterPhotography.com.

This year’s winners have just been released, so we’ve selected our favorites below!

Bronze Medal winner in Macro – not swimming category | Iyad Suleyman (Ukraine) – Porcelain Crab taken in Indonesia

 

Gold Medal winner in Macro – swimming category | Wayne Jones (Australia) – Jack & Jelly taken in the Philippines

 

Runner Up in the Super Macro category | Patricia Sinclair (USA) – One of the hardest for me to get – this image of an isopod!

 

Bronze Medal in the Macro – Close Up category | Masa Biru Aruba – A baby eel taken in the Philippines

 

Gold Medal in the Creative Manipulated category | Filip Staes (Belgium) – An angel is watching over us. Model: mermaid Nyxe, TODI, Belgium.


World Champion and Grand Master

In addition to the medal awards, the judges select the photographers that stood out most – the World Champion and Grand Master.

This year this honorable achievement was given to Alejandro Topete (World Champion) and Mehmet Salih Bilal (Grand Master).
