Thanks for the highly informative post! I’m considering the Fantasea UWL-400F for use with my RX100V and Fantasea housing. Do you think I’ll be able to get some zoom-through with this setup or will I be confined to shooting fully zoomed out? Thanks.
Hey Peter,
Sorry for the late reply.
Yes, I was able to zoom through with the UWL-400F! The quality isn’t as nice but it can be done and focuses well.
Hi Ran,
Thanks for this really helpful article! I’m using a Canon G7X Mark II and am deciding between the UWL-09 and KRL-01. It seems like the UWL-09 has some vignetting with the G7X Mk II. Do you have any insight into which lens is best with this camera? Thanks so much!
Hey Tyler,
From my tests, the KRL-01 didn’t vignette at all. It is slightly less wide than the UWL-09, which is probably why it didn’t vignette.
If using the UWL-09 and zooming in slightly, you should get about the same FOV.
That being said, it’s probably easier when you don’t have to worry about zooming in, so the KRL-01 might be a better fit.
Hey
So which one of the wide lenses, that are not Fantasea lenes, will work with with the Fantasea Bayonet system and will fit the Fantasea FA6500 housing?
