Canon announces a new DSLR camera in the market. Let’s welcome the Canon Rebel SL3 (250D)!
Even though the Rebel SL3 is known as a lightweight DSLR camera, it’s quite heavy in features at the same time! The camera weighs only 0.45kg and packs quite a punch in such a small size.
One of the key features of the Canon Rebel SL3, it’s equipped with a 24.1 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with the DIGIC 8 Canon processor. It has also an ISO ranges from 100 to 25600 with a continuous shot speed of 5fps.
The Canon Rebel SL3 is the first EOS camera to feature a Dual Pixel CMOS AF with an Eye Detection autofocus. Not only that, but this is also the first entry level EOS DSLR that offers a 4k video. Although, this includes a 2.64x crop.
The EOS Rebel SL3 will be available in color black and white amounting to $600 and $750 with an 18-55mm lens.
Its small size makes it ideal for underwater photography, since it fits in a small case, closer in size to mirrorless cameras than DSLR’s and still capable of producing stunning, clear and sharp results thanks to Canon’s excellent optics.
Stay tuned for updates about new underwater housings for the Canon Rebel SL3! We’re expecting Ikelite to release their housing shortly.
