I’m afraid there are no housings available for the Pentax DSLR’s.
Ikelite used to make one for them, but they are now discontinued.
Cameras that are not mainstream are rarely supported underwater, since an UW housing requires a larger market to justify development and production costs.
For photographers looking to get into UW photography, I recommend the mainstream Nikon / Canon.
Another option is to get an UW compact bundle:

Cameras that are not mainstream…
and the D5300 and D7000 series are? you imagine that a diver will go down with a 500$ camera in a 1200$ housing only to find out that the camera as a few resolution issues? I think it’s time to put back on the market the housings for K3 and K1s?
Hi Alain,
It’s only a matter of units sold. The D7000 and D5300 sold around the world 10 or 20 times more than the K3 and K1’s. Therefore the demand for housings is 10-20 time more with those. Manufacturing an underwater housing is incredible expensive and time consuming, and cannot justify itself if not enough units are projected to be sold.
There are custom housing makers out there who can design a special housing for any camera, that might be a solution for you, but would be quite pricey.
Hi, would you care to share some of the custom manufacturers names?
Thanx
L.
Hi Lorenzo,
I’m not familiar with any manufacturer that makes housings for these I’m afraid.
