One of the best ways to learn photography is to see other photographers’ work. Mozaik looks for some of the best underwater photographers in the world, and showcase their work, along with the gear they use, to help other aspiring photographers improve, learn new skills and get inspired.

This week we will feature the talented Sayaka Ichinoseki!

About Sayaka

I was born in Hokkaido, northern of Japan. I got the first license when I was twenty. I used to take underwater photography with a compact digital camera for a long time. I started full-scale underwater photography with a single-lens reflex camera in 2018 (4 years ago) as a hobby while working at a medical company. Now, I quit my job and keep shooting to tell the beauty of the underwater world and the excitement I felt while trips, And I keep to look for new impressions. I traveled around the world to shoot, and now I’m particularly interested in cold water and also rivers because there are more unknown than warmer water. I hope I want to know something new I have never seen.
I am honored to win The United Nations World Oceans Day Photo Competition 2021, Faces of the Sea category and got 2nd Place in macro category, Ocean Art 2020.
