Featured Underwater Photographer – Dicky Kasim

One of the best ways to learn photography is to see other photographers’ work. Mozaik looks for some of the best underwater photographers in the world, and showcase their work, along with the gear they use, to help other aspiring photographers improve, learn new skills and get inspired.

About Dicky

I was born in Jakarta and moved to Western Australia in my teenage years. I have always had a love for marine life and the ocean, which lead me to study a Bachelor of Aquatic Science for my University degree, majoring in Coastal Zone Management.

My dream of underwater photography only happened recently during the covid period where I happen to be living in Bali for the last 7 years and got myself a compact camera set up.

My goal is to not only inspire people to have more affection towards our oceans and marine life but to also show how you can create a beautiful photo with an entry-level camera set up.

I hope that through my UW photography I could voice what the ocean has to offer and why it’s so important for us to maintain and conserve its ecosystem for future generations.
