Featured Underwater Photographer – Mélodie Caussat
One of the best ways to learn photography is to see other photographers’ work. Mozaik looks for some of the best underwater photographers in the world, and showcases their work, along with the gear they use, to help other aspiring photographers improve, learn new skills and get inspired.
This week we will feature the talented Mélodie Caussat!
About Mélodie
I grew up in Marie-Galante, an island in the Caribbean, cradled by the ocean. My parents gave me my first underwater camera when I was 17. I became a marine biologist and then a life and earth sciences teacher for teenagers.
I currently live in Guadeloupe, where I mainly dive from the shore with my own equipment. I love macro photography and observing new species, especially sea slugs. I have created a participative census site « seaslugs guadeloupe » which brings together the different species we meet in Guadeloupe: there are currently over 120!
In my portfolio, I’ve tried to represent the wonderful world of diving in the Caribbean sea. Enjoy your discovery !
