One of the best ways to learn photography is to see other photographers’ work. Mozaik looks for some of the best underwater photographers in the world, and showcases their work, along with the gear they use, to help other aspiring photographers improve, learn new skills and get inspired.

About Luca

Luca Crudeli is an experienced underwater photographer who has spent much of his career traveling the world to capture stunning images of marine life. Luca’s passion for underwater photography began in Africa, and since then he has continued to explore new reefs and ecosystems every few years as he changes countries for work. Through his photography, Luca seeks to raise awareness of conservation challenges faced by our oceans, and he has organized and participated in conservation projects and exhibitions around the world, primarily in emerging countries. Luca is also an author of published books and dive guides, such as this dive guide of Southern Mozambique. Luca is Italian but lives currently in Brazil and works across the Caribbean, Latin American region, and Africa.

Karla is an explorer who loves nature and outdoors. She’s a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and has been diving since 2015. An agriculturist by profession, she has worked on different projects to improve the agriculture sector in the Philippines. She also took MSc. in Environmental Science focusing on aquatic ecosystems.
