Gear used in this footage:

  • Panasonic GH4
  • Lumix 8mm & 7-14mm lenses
  • Nauticam NA-GH3 Housing with modification
  • Zen DP-100 & DP-170 domes
  • Keldan Luna 8

Chris mentions that: “Oceanic Whitetips are amazing sharks, and really my favorite to be in the water with. They are smart, and have an amazing array of senses that lets them find food in the vast open ocean. But, they are being hunted in huge numbers, and are listed as “vulnerable” worldwide and “critically endangered” in the Northwest and Western Central Atlantic. In some places, 98% of the population has been wiped out.”

This game-changing Micro 4/3 camera is capable of 4K cinematic quality video along with simultaneous 8.8MP still frames while shooting video.

It can also produce 16MP Raw stills, has a weather sealed Magnesium alloy body and plenty more features!

Nauticam NA-GH3 Housing

The GH4 is already fully compatible with the GH3 Nauticam housing, except for the mode dial which can be made fully functional using a simple self-installable upgrade.

Nevertheless, Nauticam has already begun working on a new and improved housing specially adapted for the GH4.

The GH3 housing (with upgrade to GH4) is available here.
