About Adriano

Hello underwater friends!

My name is Adriano Lanzafame, I’m 28 years old and I live in Catania, Italy

I’m a windows fabricator but my passion is diving and underwater photography, I usually go once a week or less due to work commitments.

Since I was a boy, I was attracted to the sea, I started with only a mask and fin for years, then in 2016 I entered in the scuba diving world with my first course. My first camera was a gopro, but in 2018 I bought an easydive housing for my reflex.

My intent was to share the beauty of the sea with my parents and friends, and other people as well. It’s difficult to be an underwater photographer, but not impossible, you have to be VERY patience and it takes a lot of time to learn uw photo techniques and post-production.

I am so finicky, and this probably is half a defect because I am almost never satisfied of my pictures , and half a merit because this pushes me always over my limits. In 2019 started taking part in different international contests, winning my first award in 2020.

I learned a lot looking other people works and sharing techniques and knowledge with them, in
this case social media are very helpful, but I studied on books also.

I love sharing my pictures and the beauty of the sea, and remember, the first thing you need to be an underwater photographer is not a super uw gear, but a great passion and a LOT of luck to encounter amazing subjects!
