Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III Digital Camera

The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX100 III Digital Camera is an advanced point-and-shoot camera that has many features to produce high-resolution images and full HD videos.  This sleek and versatile camera is ideal for anyone pursuing and mastering underwater photography.

A large 20.1 megapixel 1″ Exmor R CMOS sensor utilizes a backside-illuminated technology that will improve the clarity and quality of an image, especially in low light situations.  The BIONZ X image processor works with the sensor to help produce images with smooth quality and tonal gradations.  A built-in Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 2.9x zoom lens with anti-reflective coating provides a 35mm equivalent focal length range of 24-70mm, providing clear perspectives of wide-angle to portrait-length. The Optical SteadyShot helps to minimize a camera shake appearance when working in dim light conditions, an ideal feature for underwater photography.
Optional Housing Accessories

SEA&SEA does not fallback when it comes to quality housing accessories.  The MDX-RX100 III housing will have its fair share of optional housing accessories: conversion lenses, fiber-optic cables, strobes, strobe arms, accessory mounts, LCD Monitor hood with lens, and the SEA&SEA Optional Leak Sensor.

The M67 Wide-angle Conversion Lens 0.6x is compatible with the MDX-RX100 III underwater housing.  When the Wide-angle Conversion Lens is mounted, the angle of view increases from 28mm to a maximum of 17mm. Optional lenses can be easily mounted and dismounted to the threaded port while underwater.

An optional Lens Caddy is available for the M67 Wide-angle Conversion Lens.  Made of aluminum alloy, this sturdy caddy permits accessory lenses with M67 screw mounts to be attached to a SA8 Double Ball Arm and stored when not in use.  The caddy is securely bolted in place, ensuring there is no movement or slip.

Sea Arm 8 is compatible with the MDX-RX100 III underwater housing. Using the latest structural analysis software, the Sea Arm 8 was methodically machined from a solid block of aluminum providing lightweight durability. Ball clamps allows for structural reliability, while also allowing for easy manipulation.

Highly known for advanced underwater lighting, SEA&SEA has several strobe options that will be compatible, through Fiber-optic connection, with the MDX-R100 III: YS-D1YS-01YS-02, and the soon to be announced YS-03.

The restructured Fiber Optic Cable II is made of 613 fiber cores and is an essential lighting accessory for the MDX-RX100 III housing.  Reducing the chance of light attenuation, this multi-core design has a new narrow diameter, that even when bent, the reflected angle of light is so small, resulting in a minimal transmission loss.

SEA&SEA’s state-of-the-art MDX-RX100 III (SS-06171) underwater housing will be available the end of August/early September 2014 with a MAP of $995.95.

It is predicted to be a prevalent and high-demand item for underwater photographers, just as its predecessor, the MDX-RX100/II.
