Sealife Introducing – Micro 2.0 Floodproof Action Cam
Following the incredible success of Sealife’s first ever permanently sealed underwater camera – the Micro HD / HD+, Sealife has released a new and improved version for 2016, labeled as Sealife Micro 2.0!
The main upgrades implemented on the Micro 2.0 vs Micro HD are:
- Higher quality image sensor – 16mp still photos (vs 13mp on the HD)
- 60fps full 1080p HD video (vs 30fps on the previous version)
- WiFi on both models (Micro HD had no WiFi)
- 64GB/32GB models vs 32GB/16GB on the Micro HD+/HD
- 130 degree Fisheye lens – less distortion, optimal field of view
The Micro 2.0 maintains the easy-to-use design from its predecessor, with 3 large Piano Keys, easy to handle even with gloves, sealed flood-proof body, useful UW modes and large 2.4″ TFT LCD screen and more great features.

Excerpt from ScubaGadget’s: Why the SeaLife HD+ could be a better choice for you article, 10/15/2015. A very thorough comparison of the SeaLife Micro to the GoPro Silver (emphasis theirs):
Conclusion: “But it is our impression that a majority of the divers who want to shoot underwater video prefer the simple, leak-proof, grab-and-go choice offered by the HD+. One said: “I don’t want to be afraid I am going flood my camera on every dive.” If that’s how you feel, the Micro HD+ is this camera is for.
IF….You don’t want to have to overthink the process. You don’t want to have to disassemble and carefully reassemble your camera kit between dives. You want a simple camera kit with big buttons that you can manipulate underwater. You want to leave all that complexity to the video-geeks. What are we talking about? You want a SeaLife Micro HD+.
