The Sony RX100 VI was released in early 2019 and is a big change from the RX100 V. This camera has a long zoom range 200mm and this makes it a far better camera for topside photography.
For underwater photography this is quite a challenge and that is why Fantasea decided not to support this zoom range (their housings supports up to 66mm) but luckily Ikelite and Nauticam support the full zoom range.
Other than that there is no major differences, some improvements to Auto Focus and a tilted screen.
Overall, our favorite choice is still the RX100 V with a Fantasea housing , the price is better, the housing is better and the camera is pretty much the same. With that said, if topside photography is important, definitely get the RX100 VI.
