The FG16 is a single solid unit housing, which means the port is part of the actual housing.
Usually compact housings will have a fixed port and come as one solid unit, whereas DSLR / Mirrorless housings are made up of two parts – housing body and interchangeable port.
The advantage of compact housings, is that they can be fitted with wet lenses, to create wide angle or better macro. These are mounted in front of the port and can be placed and removed underwater as needed.
For example, to create a wide angle on the FG16 you would add the BigEye dome, which snaps on the front of the housing:
