DEMA Highlights – Chapter 1
We are now going into the 3rd day of the show. Here are some highlights we were able to photograph, more will be coming soon..
Big Blue have improved their previous 1300 Lumen light to offer a powerful 1800 Lumens. As with the previous version this light is self contained with a rechargeable battery and with adjustable power. The light comes with a 1 Inch ball connector as before.
Sea and Sea have announced their new strobe that is due to arrive next year. This strobe will have a guide number of 32 (at 80 deg angle) and a guide number of 28 with a diffuser at 100 deg angle. The strobe has a built in video light just as many strobes in the market offer today and it features both a sync cord connection and a fiber optic connection. Recycle time will be between 1.5-1.9s. Retail price is aimed for 699-799$. This strobe will replace the YS-110alpha and will become an Inon Z-240 killer being more powerful and more compact. It’s size is very similar to the YS-110alpha.
I-torch have released 2 new video lights , the first one is a 1300 Lumen light with a retail price of 559$ (very good value for money) It’s got a very even beam , no hot spots and features 3 power levels of white and 3 power levels of red.
The second video light they have released is a mini light (seriously very small) with a powerful 80 deg beam and 750 Lumens. Retail price is around 350$ and this light is a perfect choice for divers that travel a lot and do a lot of Macro work.
GoPro are stealing the show this year and you can find their products in accessories in almost every booth. From lights to mounts. The picture above is a compact lighting package by Big Blue aimed at the go pro camera. Small compact and right to the point.
