Olympus Tough TG-3 announced
Olympus has just announced the release of the Tough TG-3 rugged camera. This impressive model is planned to be available around June for $349, and boasts some very cool features for underwater photographers.
It will be available for purchase around June with the PT-056 Housing.
Some of it’s best features for underwater use are:
- Waterproof – Down to 50ft / 15m
- Wide aperture – f/2.0
- Super Macro Mode – Focuses from 1 cm / 0.4 in
- Microscope mode – The TG-3 offers four macro modes: Microscope, Microscope Control (maximum 44.5x magnification from 1cm), Focus Bracketing and Focus Stacking (multiple images are taken from foreground to background, and the areas in focus are automatically merged into one perfect shot). Add the new LED ring light and you’ve got a complete portable macro set-up.
- Great accessories including Led Ring Light for good consistent lighting on Macro mode.
- The PT-056 housing will allow you full control over the camera and extend your depth rating to 148 feet.
