Bio

Water, Water, Water... That’s about the best way to start any description pertaining to Patrick E. Barton. A current PADI and SSI SCUBA instructor, he’s been an avid diver for more than fifteen years with many opportunities to travel to exotic locations.

After visiting a few places above and below sea level, he decided to pursue the art of underwater photography. Through previous design projects, he introduced himself to photography and needed to get into the digital age so in 2003 he purchased his first Digital SLR and combined that with an order for an underwater housing. The process of trying to dive into both of these arts at one time seemed overwhelming and many times still does. The rewards are well worth the mind-boggling preparation for every trip. The process gets trickier and trickier with each trip. With all the airline restrictions, packing has become an art in itself.

Patrick E. Barton is an artist born and raised in the Midwest. Most of his training and experience has been derived from working on corporate designs over the last 20 years. His career, to date, consisted primarily with two independent Midwest-based companies as well as developing design projects through Barton Visions. As time has passed, his sole focus is Barton Visions. Patrick's experience has offered him great opportunities to work with a large variety of projects and produce art in all types of media.

He has had the pleasure of exhibiting his work with various locations in the United States and abroad.
